Peach State Birth Coalition

Rooted in advocacy. Powered by moms. Built for change.

Who We Are

Peach State Birth Coalition is a grassroots nonprofit founded by Georgia families and birth advocates who believe in freedom of choice, access to care, and respectful, compassionate birth experiences.

We are working to make Georgia a state where midwives can legally and safely serve families without fear—and where families have real access to personalized care from pregnancy through postpartum.

Whether it's pushing for midwifery licensure, hosting community events, or providing educational resources, our mission is simple:
To empower families, protect their right to choose how they give birth, and create a system of care that works for everyone.

Because birth matters—and so do you.

Hi, I’m Lainey—the heart behind Peach State Birth Coalition.
After experiencing my own home birth with a midwife in Georgia, I realized how few people truly knew about midwifery care—or that families in our state are often denied the freedom to birth how they choose.

I started this movement because every woman deserves to be heard, supported, and informed—no matter where or how she chooses to give birth. My goal is to unite voices across Georgia to fight for licensure, spread birth education, and build a safe and supportive community for families at every stage of the journey.
